This type of torch is often favoured when welding soft wires such as aluminium, where feeding problems can occur more frequently and are more likely when liner-fed along great distances.
By mounting a small spool on the back of the torch, the spool-on-gun method helps to reduce feeding problems on soft wires.
This spool-on-gun product is robust, yet still quite manoeuverable and is supplied with a six metre cable assembly which terminates in a Euro type plug and remote control connection, which interfaces with the power source.
When used with the Control Box (24V DC – 220-240V or 110-115V single phase), it’s possible to fit the torch to any standard Mig welding power source. A potentiometer allows you adjustments of the wire speed on the gun. Standard BINZEL consumables.
